Platinized titanium and Ir-Ta MMO anodes for electrolytic copper foil cells, strip plating and foil-plant support circuits — plus titanium sheet, foil, mesh and wire stock for anode fabrication. Uniform current distribution, zero metal contamination and documented coating performance keep foil thickness, roughness and yield under control.
Request a Quote Talk to an EngineerCopper foil — the current collector inside PCB laminates and lithium batteries — is grown on a rotating titanium cathode drum from CuSO₄/H₂SO₄ electrolyte, then finished by rolling. Inside the cell the counter-electrode carries the current that controls how evenly copper deposits, and that evenness decides foil thickness tolerance, surface roughness (RA) and pin-hole yield.
Traditional insoluble anodes carry lead or scale up in service, so the gap and the current distribution drift, and foil quality drifts with them. Platinized titanium and MMO anodes hold a stable potential and a fixed geometry for years — the deposit stays uniform cell after cell, and the foil plant stops paying for anode maintenance and electrolyte contamination in every roll of foil it ships.
Four constraints dominate real foil plants — from electrolytic copper foil to titanium and nickel foil rolling. Each one is addressable with the right anode, substrate and cell design.
Uneven current distribution produces pits, dendrites, pin-holes and streaks in the foil. On a foil that ships by the tonne, one bad anode means scrap that runs through the whole drum and the whole coil.
Copper foil cells run at far higher current densite than general elecrowinning. Anodes that cannot sustain that loading age unevenly, drift in potential and pull the foil out of its thickness and RA tolerance.
Lead and scaled anodes creep, build oxide and need frequent cleaning and replacement. Every service stop interrupts the drum rotation cycle, costing production time and roll-to-roll consistency.
CuSO₄/H₂SO₄ and pickling baths are hot and corrosive. A dissolving anode puts metal ions and particles into the bath, which then plate into the foil as inclusions and break the purity spec.
Match your foil process and electrolyte to the correct coating and format. The table below is the fast path — our engineers refine it with your cell current, drum geometry, temperature and foil quality targets.

Reliable foil output is a system result — drum cell, electrodes, electrolyte circulation, power supply, foil handling and surface finishing must work together. Ehisen supplies the coated electrodes and titanium substrate at the heart of the current path.
The rotating titanium cathode drum where copper deposits, paired with insoluble anodes sized to the drum width. Electrode spacing and busbar practice control thickness and RA.
Platinized titanium or Ir-Ta MMO anodes in mesh, rack, wire and rod format, plus Gr1/Gr2 titanium sheet, strip and coil for fabrication and hardware across the line.
CuSO₄/H₂SO₄ bath is pumped, filtered and temperature-controlled. Feed purity and additives directly control deposit quality and coating life.
Rectifiers supply stable, low-ripple DC to the cell. Clean current keeps the deposit even and protects electrode coating life.
Deposited foil is peeled from the drum, washed and wound into coils. Consistent stripping protects the drum surface and the anode gap setting.
Foil is cold-rolled and surface-treated to final thickness and RA. Rolling equipment and anode quality together decide the foil spec that ships.
Building or retrofitting a foil line follows a proven four-stage sequence. Ehisen supports you at every stage with engineering input and documented hardware.
Foil gauge, bath chemistry, temperature, cell current, drum geometry, target RA and duty profile are reviewed, then anode format, coating and precious-metal loading are calculated.
We recommend the coating system and can supply sample anodes for testing in your actual bath before full production.
Anodes and racks are manufactured with batch traceability, coating inspection and accelerated life testing, with full process records shipped alongside.
Anodes are positioned, contact resistance verified, and foil thickness and RA checked during the trial run until performance is stable.
Foil plants choose Ehisen because coating consistency, traceability and engineering response decide how long a foil-cell anode really lasts and how even the deposit stays — not just the catalogue price.
Coating applied on our own production line with a fixed formulation and controlled loading tolerance — samples and bulk runs are made to the same standard.
Every batch carries a LOT number linking substrate material, coating process records, inspection results and shipping documents.
Accelerated life testing per NACE TM0108-2008 at 20,000–40,000 A/m² in acidic media converts laboratory hours into your foil-line rating.
